Wild Turkey

Large and iridescent, the Wild Turkey displays bronze, green, and copper-sheened plumage that shimmers in sunlight. Native to North American forests and grasslands, it was nearly driven to extinction before a remarkable conservation comeback. Males fan their tails and gobble loudly during elaborate spring courtship displays.
