Eurasian Blue Tit

Cyanistes caeruleus

A tiny, acrobatic bundle of color, the Eurasian Blue Tit sports a sky-blue cap, wings, and tail, a yellow breast, and a white face crossed by a dark eye-stripe. Bold and inquisitive, it hangs upside down from the thinnest twigs to glean caterpillars and aphids. It is one of the most common and welcome visitors to European gardens.
