The Philippine Eagle is one of the world's largest and most powerful raptors, with a shaggy brown-and-white crest and piercing blue-grey eyes. Endemic to the Philippines, it hunts monkeys, flying lemurs, and large birds in old-growth tropical forest. Critically endangered with fewer than 800 individuals remaining, it is the national bird of the Philippines.
