With its iconic white head and tail contrasting a dark brown body, the Bald Eagle is unmistakable across North America. Found near large bodies of open water, it builds some of the largest nests of any bird species. A skilled fish hunter, it can spot prey from over a mile away.

Bald Eagles can see fish from over a mile away and dive at speeds up to 100 mph.
