Europe's largest eagle, the White-tailed Eagle has a massive wingspan exceeding 2.4 meters, broad brown wings, and a distinctive white wedge-shaped tail. It hunts fish, waterfowl, and carrion along coasts and large lakes from Scandinavia to Japan. Once nearly extinct in western Europe, successful reintroduction programs have restored populations across its historic range.
