Standing just 33 centimeters tall, the Little Penguin is the smallest of all penguin species. Also known as the Fairy Penguin, it has slate-blue plumage on its back and white underneath. Found along the coasts of southern Australia and New Zealand, it comes ashore only after dark to avoid predators.
