Bee Hummingbird

The smallest bird on Earth, the Bee Hummingbird weighs less than a dime and measures just over two inches long. Endemic to Cuba, the male flashes an iridescent pink-red gorget during breeding season. Its wings beat up to 80 times per second, producing the characteristic hum as it visits tiny flowers.
