Rufous Hornero

Argentina's national bird, the Rufous Hornero is a warm brown ovenbird famous for building massive dome-shaped mud nests on fence posts, poles, and rooftops. Found across eastern South America, it forages busily on the ground for insects. Each breeding pair constructs a new oven-like nest annually, leaving old ones for other species.
