American Robin
Turdus migratorius
One of the most familiar North American songbirds, the American Robin sports a warm orange-red breast and gray-brown upperparts. Found in yards, parks, and forests across the continent, it migrates in large flocks during winter. Its cheerful caroling song is often the first sound of spring mornings.
Fun Fact
Robins can eat up to 14 feet of earthworms in a single day.
