Common Ostrich

The Common Ostrich is the world's largest living bird, standing up to nine feet tall and weighing over 300 pounds. Native to African savannas and deserts, it has powerful legs that can deliver a lethal kick and propel it at speeds over 40 mph. Though flightless, its tiny wings help with balance and courtship displays.
