One of Australia's most recognizable parrots, the Galah sports a vivid pink chest and face with a soft grey back and wings. Found across nearly all of mainland Australia, it thrives in open grasslands and urban parks alike. Galahs are famously playful, often seen hanging upside down from branches.

In Australia, 'galah' is slang for a foolish person because of this bird's playful antics.
