Bobolink

Dolichonyx oryzivorus

A songbird of hayfields and prairies, the breeding male Bobolink looks like he's wearing a tuxedo backwards — black below, with a white back and a straw-yellow patch on the nape. He delivers a bubbling, jangling flight song over the grass. After breeding, the whole species undertakes an epic migration to southern South America.
